PRODUCTInlighti™

1. Introduction

HAM Insight Solutions, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates Inlighti™, an AI-powered financial literacy platform ("Platform") for students in grades 9–12 that generates Investigations from real SEC filings. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use Inlighti™.

By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Who We Serve

Inlighti™ serves users through their school or school district:

  • Students who access the Platform using a teacher-issued class code.
  • Teachers and school or district administrators who manage classes, assign Investigations, and review student results.

The Platform is designed for students in grades 9–12 and operates under each school's institutional account.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Student Roster and Session Data

When a teacher creates a class, we collect the roster information the teacher provides — typically student first and last name — along with:

  • Class and school assignment
  • Grade level and reading level
  • Investigations assigned, companies or filings explored, and quiz or assignment results
  • Session timestamps

Student roster and session data is visible to the student's teacher and, where applicable, school and district administrators.

3.2 Educator and Administrator Accounts

Teachers, school administrators, and district administrators create accounts with their full name, work email address, and an encrypted password. Sign-in sessions are authenticated using a signed token that expires after a short period of inactivity.

3.3 Investigation and AI Usage Data

When a teacher generates an Investigation, we log the company or filing selected, the grade range and lesson parameters chosen, and the generated content, in order to deliver the Investigation and maintain a usage record for the account.

3.4 Automatically Collected Information

We automatically collect IP addresses and request metadata (for rate limiting and abuse prevention), session timestamps, and a log of certain administrative actions (for security and audit purposes).

4. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Generate Investigations and instructional materials using the Anthropic Claude AI model
  • Provide teachers and administrators with class- and district-level rosters and results
  • Enforce rate limits to ensure fair, stable access for all users
  • Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and inappropriate content generation
  • Improve the quality and safety of Investigation generation
  • Send system emails (welcome links, password resets) to educator and administrator accounts
  • Maintain audit logs of certain administrative actions for account security

We do not use student, teacher, or administrator data for advertising, marketing profiling, or any purpose other than operating the Platform.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell student, teacher, or administrator data. We may share information with the following service providers, solely to operate the Platform:

  • Anthropic, Inc. — generates Investigation content. Prompts include the selected filing, grade range, and lesson parameters. Governed by Anthropic's API usage policies.
  • Resend — email delivery for educator and administrator account management. Only educator/administrator email addresses are transmitted.
  • Our hosting provider — web hosting and server infrastructure.

Investigations are built from filings that are already public record on the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's EDGAR system; no personal information from the Platform is sent to the SEC.

We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of HAM Insight Solutions, LLC, its users, or the public.

6. Student Privacy

Because the Platform is used by students in grades 9–12 through their school's institutional account, access and data handling are managed at the school and district level:

  • Class rosters are created and managed by the student's own teacher or school administrator
  • Students do not create their own accounts or provide contact information directly to the Platform
  • We do not display advertising to students
  • Content filtering applies to AI-generated Investigations and materials

This approach is designed to be consistent with how schools already manage student data and records. Schools and districts should apply their own student-data policies when adopting the Platform.

7. Data Retention

  • Student roster and session records: retained for the duration of the class's active period, plus 12 months
  • Educator and administrator accounts: retained for the duration of the subscription, plus 90 days following termination
  • Rate-limit and abuse-prevention records: retained on a short-term, rolling basis

Schools and districts may request deletion of their account and roster data at any time by contacting us.

8. Data Security

  • All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
  • Passwords are stored using industry-standard, one-way encryption — the plaintext password is never stored
  • Sign-in sessions use signed, time-limited tokens rather than persistent plaintext credentials
  • Database and cache access is restricted to application servers only

No security system is impenetrable. In the event of a data breach that affects personal information, we will notify affected schools and districts in accordance with applicable law.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, delete, correct, or receive a portable copy of your information. Because student roster data is entered and managed by a school or district, students and parents should generally direct these requests to their school; the school or district may then contact us to fulfill them.

Teachers and administrators may contact us directly to exercise these rights for their own account data.
